Within the scope of the project tendered by BOTAŞ Pipelines and Petroleum Transportation Co. Erzurum Branch, a total of 156 insulation damages on Section 2 of the 48’’ Eastern Anatolia Natural Gas Main Transmission Line were successfully repaired by OMC Yapı.

Excavation and repair works on the live pipeline, operating under high pressure to transport natural gas, were meticulously carried out with coordination between BOTAŞ and OMC teams. During the works, maximum safety measures were implemented. Excavation was carried out using tracked and wheeled excavators, and after reaching a safe distance from the pipeline, manual excavation methods were employed to locate insulation damage points.

In the identified damage areas, existing coatings were physically removed, followed by repairs using the hot wrap method. The entire process was carried out in accordance with quality standards and safety procedures, and the project was successfully completed without any interruption to the energy flow in the pipeline.
