Oltu Natural Gas Pipeline Project Completed
Oltu Natural Gas Pipeline Project Completed

As OMC, we have successfully completed the Oltu Natural Gas Pipeline Project, where gas intake was carried out through hot-tap operations on the Shah Deniz Natural Gas Pipeline. Within the scope of the two-year project, a total of 59,000 meters of natural gas pipeline was constructed, including two pig stations (launcher and receiver) and one line valve station. The project was delivered as a turnkey solution in its entirety.

The mechanical works completed in the project included:

  • Pipeline welding and non-destructive testing operations
  • Pipeline insulation
  • Hydrostatic and caliper testing
  • In construction works:
  • Excavation, padding, and backfilling works
  • Preparation of special crossings
  • Construction of pig stations and line valve stations
  • In cathodic protection works:
  • Installation of a power transmission line to the launcher station
  • Implementation of cathodic protection systems along the pipeline

The OMC team managed the entire project in compliance with international quality standards and occupational health and safety criteria, ensuring effective planning and coordination throughout the process and delivering the targeted results on time.

This project has once again demonstrated OMC’s technical expertise in natural gas transmission infrastructure, its solution-oriented approach, and its identity as a reliable solution partner.
