40 MW Varaka Thermal Power Plant Insulation Works Completed

As OMC, we have successfully completed the insulation works of the 40 MW Thermal Power Plant established within Varaka Paper Factory. The construction of the project began at the beginning of 2018, and all insulation works were meticulously carried out by OMC’s expert team.

In the project, Varaka Paper Factory, which had an EPC agreement with the Chinese company CPI, collaborated with Murel Yapı for the turnkey construction works. The supply and installation of all insulation and cladding materials were carried out under OMC’s subcontracting.

The works carried out at the power plant included:

  • Boiler, tank, pipe, valve, and turbine insulation (thermal insulation jackets and jacket-type insulation)
  • Cyclone, ash hopper, pre-heater, HRA unit, and drum insulation
  • Insulation of all hot and cold lines within the power plant

For high-temperature equipment, galvanized cladding was applied over ceramic fiber, rock wool, and glass wool materials; while for cold lines, elastomeric rubber foam and polyurethane insulation with aluminum cladding were applied. All works were completed in compliance with international quality standards and occupational health and safety criteria.

With this project, OMC has once again demonstrated its expertise, technical capacity, and solution-oriented approach in thermal power plants and industrial facilities.
