BOTAŞ Pipelines and Petroleum Transportation Inc. - Within the scope of the work carried out by the Erzurum Branch Directorate, 156 insulation damage on 48" Eastern Anatolia Natural Gas Main Transmission Line Section 2 has been successfully repaired.
Excavations were carried out by BOTAŞ and OMC teams on high-pressure and live-running lines. Excavators and wheeled excavators were used during the excavation work carried out at the highest level of occupational safety measures. After approaching a certain distance to the existing pipe, damage points were detected by hand excavation. Insulation coverings of these points were peeled off by physical cleaning method and the damages were repaired by hot winding method.
